Engine: Just-in-time v3 Version: 1.1.5 Java Version: 1.1 While invoking init-script by invoke-rc.d tomcat5 start it seems to start and for about 6 seconds the kaffe process is visible through ps. After this 6 seconds it appears to die. Running invoke-rc.d tomcat5 start&&lyn localhost:8180 shows "cannot connect to host". Also netstat -apn shows nothing listening besides standard daemons.
