Package: samba Version: 2:3.2.5-4lenny8 Severity: normal
Following an upgrade from Etch to Lenny, Samba shares were no longer available. The system generated many emails with subject "Panic or Segfault in Samba" (sample below). I am able to work around this by removing or commenting all "write list" lines. ie: write list = @TSLGROUP+Domain\ Admins important bit from sample email: [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 0xb7a14a00 (LWP 13442)] 0xb7f0c424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #0 0xb7f0c424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb7b506f3 in waitpid () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #2 0xb7aee46b in ??
