Package: python2.6-minimal Version: 2.6.4-4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
This problem might be due to me having a mostly lenny system with some testing packages, so perhaps you don't want to hear from me. Here is the bug I get when installing python2.6-minimal: Setting up python2.6-minimal (2.6.4-4) ... Linking and byte-compiling packages for runtime python2.6... pycentral: pycentral rtinstall: installed runtime python2.6 not found pycentral rtinstall: installed runtime python2.6 not found dpkg: error processing python2.6-minimal (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of python2.6: python2.6 depends on python2.6-minimal (= 2.6.4-4); however: Package python2.6-minimal is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing python2.6 (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: python2.6-minimal python2.6 Is there any way around that? I didn't have python2.6 installed previously, and I installed the base and -minimal packages together. It seems like it is saying the minimal depends on the base, but the base depends on the minimal, so neither can be installed? -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686-bigmem (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages python2.6-minimal depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8k-8 SSL shared libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages python2.6-minimal recommends: pn python2.6 <none> (no description available) Versions of packages python2.6-minimal suggests: pn binfmt-support <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
