It seems a skype crash, not a pidgin/pidgin-skype one. Can you reproduce it? After a quick search, I found this [1] which could be a workaround but I suggest to update skype client to the latest version (2.1 beta 2), which is out since a couple of days ago. Then if it crashes again, click here [2] to search for similar bugs and to create new ones. Good luck! During this week, pidgin-skype 20100121 should be released too.
