Package: grub-pc Version: 1.98~20100101-1 Severity: important Hi,
I'm unable to get grub-pc to boot. When installed it says this on boot: error: no such disk Entering rescue mode error: no such disk and gives me a rescue prompt. By running grub-install --modules=minicmd I could see this: lsmod: lvm part_msdos ext2 fshelp biosdisk minicmd ls: (hd0) (hd0,2) (hd0,1) (fd0) So it looks like grub can't see the LVM partitions. I have a similar system that works fine with grub2. What can I do to figure out why LVM doesn't show up? Thanks!
