Package: pure-ftpd Version: 1.0.21-11.4 Severity: important *** Please type your report below this line ***
I have installed pure-ftpd package with apt-get install pure-ftpd command. Then configure it with these commands : groupadd ftpgroup useradd -g ftpgroup -d /dev/null -s /etc ftpuser pure-pw useradd byet -u ftpuser -g ftpgroup -d /home/byet -N 10 pure-pw mkdb And finally tried to start it : /etc/init.d/pure-ftpd start But pure-ftpd server do not starts at all. I have tested these steps in 3 another computers and the same problem occurs. The log file of pure-ftpd server is empty. In /var/log/messages file I couldn't find anything related to pure-ftpd.
