Hi. Maybe if there's an option to always use a separating empty line or to never use it will make it possible to have a consistent behaviour of the program without breaking the scripts that rely on the current behaviour.
Something like --split-results-with-line and --no-split-results-with-line . I'm sure you can think of a better name for this option.
