These font errors should not happen unless you are using a custom stylesheet, since the default configuration loads no fonts, and uses the default, not- embedded PDF fonts.
Specifically, you seem to be specifying the freetype-serif stylesheet. Also, there were some changes in the font lookup code for 0.12.3 which might be helpful. However, those errors should be harmless and simply make the text be in another font, the crash is caused by something else, and I don't know what that is.
