First I have the same problem since my last update. I did not update
until some time but I can try to find the exact update that cause
problem if necessary. As I'm low in memory too, I use 16 bit display,
but currently it gives the pale-blue look.
The hardware cursor is with the good colors.
I do not really know where to start to find the bug, so feel free to ask
any information.
I tried to use an empty xorg file but it goes directly to 24 bits. When
I just copy paste the generated one and just add 16 bits, it starts been
pale-blue.
