Hello Peter,

I can't reproduce this problem.  When you are creating an object, if you try to 
zoom
xfig tells you to finish or cancel the current operation first so it doesn't 
attempt to zoom.

By the way, you might want to get xfig 3.2.5c from xfig.org because it looks 
like you have 3.2.5b.
