After upgrading to the new version I can use evolution-exchange again. Connection to OWA via the proxy is possible. This hasnt been the first time that a new version had problems with OWA. I would really like to know where the fixes have been, so I could try to fix it myself when a newer release provides the same problem again. Using iceweasel for reading/writing mail is not like using a real mail program.
