Package: w3m
Version: 0.5.2-2.1
Severity: minor

It seems that w3m won't work at all unless /proc is mounted. This is
a minor inconvenience when using it inside a chroot. It would be nice
if instead of aborting, w3m simply disabled the relevant features and
continued to act as a pager.

    # chroot /var/tmp/chroot w3m --version
    GC Warning: Couldn't read /proc/stat
    GC Warning: GC_get_nprocs() returned -1
    Couldn't read /proc/self/stat
    Aborted
