I'm seeing the same behavior, sshd is not running after boot. >From auth.log: [during boot:] Jan 10 15:08:35 srv sshd[2345]: error: Bind to port 22 on 192.168.0.1 failed: Cannot assign requested address. Jan 10 15:08:35 srv sshd[2345]: fatal: Cannot bind any address. [after boot, triggered by /etc/init.d/ssh restart:] Jan 10 15:15:02 srv sshd[2548]: Server listening on 192.168.0.1 port 22.
Some basic info: srv:/var/log# cat /etc/debian_version 5.0 srv:/var/log# uname -a Linux srv 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Sun Jul 26 21:25:33 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux srv:/var/log# dpkg -l | grep openssh-server ii openssh-server 1:5.1p1-5 secure shell server, an rshd replacement BTW, This verion of sshd does contain the hacked patch from bug 502444 (which I had thought might be related). Please ask if there is are any further details I can provide. Thanks for any help. Will Diem -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
