Kernel version 2.6.32 enabled some kind of automatic power-saving for
some wireless interfaces, but it didn't work properly in the rt61
hardware. This may explain the poor performance you are seeing. The
latest packaged version, 2.6.32-4, disables power-saving. Please test
whether this fixes the problem.
