Package: dphys-swapfile
Version: 20061020-2
Severity: important

When trying to boot my system with the linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64
kernel, I get this during startup:

starting dphys-swapfile, swapfile setup...
Computing size, want /var/swap=268435454MByte, checking existing
deleting wrong size file (4255121408), generating swapfile...

This is unlikely to succeed on most systems. I did at one point
let it run for multiple minutes to see if it's just a display
issue and if it'd actually do something sensible, but it does
not seem so.

With other kernels it's "want /var/swap=4058MByte".

The output of /proc/meminfo is more or less the same for both kernels, if
that's of interest.

Cheers
 -Tim
