This is different.

In the example sent in previous mail, the Emacs "message-mode" provides
a complete environment to format and send the mail. In this mode it is
possile to:

    - Attach more log files
    - Attach more build logs
    ...
    for the maintainer

If Emacs is only used as a plain editor, the benefits of complete Email
interface is lost.

If I understood correctly, the --mutt option offer complete mail
interface; here the suggested option --emacs would do the same; to let
the user handle sending the email from that interface.
