$ gringotts

(gringotts:2067): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
GLib: Cannot convert message: Could not open converter from 'UTF-8' to

(gringotts:2067): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0
$

not I don't get error from getpwuid_r().

ltrace & strace works, i.e. gringotts starts with no problem. then again,
running without ltrace or strace, gringotts segfaults, until I remove
~/.gringotts.conf

works well if I remove suid-bit from the /usr/bin/gringotts
