Package: loop-aes-utils Version: 2.13.1-4 Severity: important Tags: patch
I try to install Ubuntu 5.0.3 via expert installer on a RAID system. Partition scheme (identical on all 3 discs): /boot, ext3 / RAID1 , plain / ext3 / RAID5 , loop-aes (key) on md1 swap , loop-aes (tmp) /srv , ext3 / RAID5 , loop-aes (key) on m2 After successfull installation system fails to boot, as the init script loopaes is started in front of the mdadm script. In my opinion this is wrong, as the RAID must have been started prior to loopaes. HOT-FIX: 1. Unpack the initrd image 2. Modify the file and change in the section "prereqs()" echo "" to echo "mdadm" 3. Repack the initrd image PERMANENT FIX Make this change in the file scripts/local-top/loop-aes -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages loop-aes-utils depends on: ii gnupg 1.4.9-3+lenny1 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii libblkid1 1.41.3-1 block device id library ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libselinux1 2.0.65-5 SELinux shared libraries ii libuuid1 1.41.3-1 universally unique id library ii mount 2.13.1.1-1 Tools for mounting and manipulatin Versions of packages loop-aes-utils recommends: ii sharutils 1:4.6.3-1 shar, unshar, uuencode, uudecode loop-aes-utils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
