There were thousands of lines earlier, but they looked ok, and did not look related. I think my theory at the time was that apt-get just started to work on openoffice.org-emailmerge_1%3a3.1.1-8_all.deb and encountered an error when doing that. > > # apt-get dist-upgrade > > Reading package lists... I wrote the email mainly to report that the bug happens to more than one person. I have a backup of the system from right before the upgrade. If you are really interested, I can install that backup somewhere and try to replicate the bug. But that requires quite a bit of effort, so I don't want to do it unless it's necessary. - anton -- M.
