I can reproduce this problem under Sid as 32 bit as 64 bit with version 3.1.1-12 and 3.2.0~rc1-1 But I can't reproduce it neither with the vanilla versions 3.1.1 and 3.2 RC1 nor with the Debian version from Lenny-backports 3.1.1-11 Under sid I did the test each time with a fresh home directory.
