Jan, we're very close to finally have Python 2.6 in unstable, bitbake is one of the packages which require to drop python2.4-* dependencies (python2.4-pysqlite2 in this case) by simply uploading a no-change rebuild. It will help the transition a lot, so such an upload would be very welcome. Thanks for your cooperation!
