Package: backupninja Version: 0.9.6-4.1 Severity: wishlist Hi.
Backup is a quite sensitive and essential operation, and setting up backups requires proper verification. However at the moment, the execution of duplicity backups by the dup handler operate in "blackbox" mode, without any details but success line in emails sent by backupninja. Any cautious admin would probably want to be able to review the output messages of duplicity (by raising its verboseness in the config file) for a while. However backupninja swallows everything (if return code is 0). I think it would be great to be able to configure an execution mode where everything output by duplicity would be reported in the email, even in case of success. I will try and provide a patch which allows that. Hope this helps.
