Thanks for these details. Still, that branch contains also other commits that don't seem related to Debian bugs, and look to me like backports from upstream's trunk. I'd suggest to upload a 0.9.6-5 Debian package with only these changes. I have prepared a corresponding Debian package source patch that'd just need to be uploaded (see attached file).
