With some help from Marco d'Itri I've fixed the issue in the trunk of
upstream:
In dahdi-tools:

Those changes are simple enough to backport. I still have to remaining
considerations:
* The change in dahdi-linux depends on the change in dahdi-tools,
which will require a more specific versioned dependency.
* There is still one minor (and more Debian-specific) issue remaining:
this is a udev rule that relies on files from /usr . It should thus
avoid calling /usr/share/dahdi/xpp_fxloader directly and rather call
it through a wrapper in /lib/udev .
