Package: quilt
Version: 0.48-3
Severity: normal

The manpage is not correctly formatted when displayed on a 80 columns
terminal.

Example:
"
[...]
QUILT COMMANDS REFERENCE
       add [-P patch] {file} ...

Add one or more files to the topmost or named patch. Files must
           be
added to the patch before being modified. Files that are modi-
           fied by
patches already applied on top of the specified patch cannot be
           added.

             -P patch
                Patch to add files to.
"

The wrapping is not mine but from man(1).

This is because the manpage file is already formatted but should not.
This is the job of man(1) for format paragraph to the correct size.

/usr/share/man/man1/quilt.1.gz
"
[...]
.IP "\fBadd\fP [-P patch] {file} ... " 4

Add one or more files to the topmost or named patch. Files must be
added to the patch before being modified. Files that are modified by
patches already applied on top of the specified patch cannot be added.

  -P patch
    Patch to add files to.
"

I do not have a patch to propose. The manpage file should be modified
in depth.

Bye
