Just installed from experimental and got this...
$ enigma
enigma: symbol lookup error: enigma: undefined symbol: IMG_Init
then on a hunch:
$ apt-cache policy libsdl-image1.2

After installing 1.2.10-1, it works. So I guess you need a tighter
dependency on libsdl-image1.2.
