Package: dhcp3-server Version: 3.1.1-6+lenny3 Severity: normal I have a pair of servers running the dhcp3-server package using the failover funcationality. Periodically I get log entries like the following:
Jan 2 16:27:00 artemis dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:24:14:2e:15:19 via 134.173.131.254: peer holds all free leases That repeats with a high frequency suggesting that the client isn't getting assigned an address. When I look at the pool statistics both servers in the pair have a large number of free addresses: Jan 2 16:25:50 artemis dhcpd: balancing pool 9653d48 134.173.130/23 total 470 free 227 backup 224 lts -1 max-own (+/-)45 Jan 2 16:25:50 artemis dhcpd: balanced pool 9653d48 134.173.130/23 total 470 free 227 backup 224 lts -1 max-misbal 68 Relevant failover declaration information: Primary ======= max-response-delay 180; mclt 1800; split 128; load balance max seconds 3; Secondary ========= max-response-delay 180; load balance max seconds 3; (I've ommited [peer] address/port declaration information.)
