Package: cdebootstrap
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: important

I've been trying to setup a chroot dir by using

cdebootstrap -aarmel squeeze squeeze ftp://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian

And it fails on extracting de tar pacakge:

---
P: Extracting util-linux
P: Extracting login
P: Extracting ncurses-base
P: Extracting procps
P: Extracting sysvinit
P: Extracting tar
E: Execution failed: Exec format error
E: Internal error: install
---

The /var/cache/bootstrap shows tar_1.22-2_armel.deb

This is when running on my NAS (CH3SNAS = DNS-323), which is armv5).

It's reproduceable.

To check a few things I've tried:

- Generate a chroot for another architectur (i386). Same error.
- Generate a chroot on a fysically different system (virtualbox on Win7 x64,
  wi
  Lenny guest OS). Same error.
(uname for this one: "Linux debian-vbox 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Wed Nov 4
  20:45:3
  GNU/Linux")

Since it is consistently failing on the package tar, it might a problem with
the package? I am not sure.

I've tried also cdebootstrap-static. Same error.
