i just tested qemu 0.12.1 and the support seems to be improved for mips, mipsel and powerpc. debootstrap --foreign works well enough to create a chroot. then copying the appropriate /usr/bin/qemu-* to $chroot/usr/bin/, i can chroot to it and run commands such as "ls" and "uname", though debootstrap --second-stage fails to complete with dpkg errors... i also tried sparc and amd64, but no luck whatsoever. > Is there already a bug open upstream or something, or do I need to file > one? I haven't found a bug tracking system for qemu. :( i'm fairly new to qemu maintenance, but after some digging eventually i found a link to the FAQ: http://www.qemu.org/user-doc.html in the "Where can I report bugs?" section: http://qemu-buch.de/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/FrequentlyAskedQuestions it suggests to post to the qemu-devel list: http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/qemu-devel hope that helps! live well, vagrant -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
