I'm not sure why you thought this qualified as grave; anyway, Steve's
corrected it.  Please take a look at the definitions of the severities
sometime.

This occurs only when debugging a program which uses NPTL, which uses
vfork, from a thread other than the first thread.  There is a fix in
GDB CVS.  I'm not sure when the next upload of GDB will be at the
moment.
