Package: libatasmart-bin Version: 0.17-1 Severity: important The programs in libatasmart-bin are quite useful and simple for mere mortals to understand in comparison with the complexity of smartctl from smartmontools.
Unfortunately, the utilities don't have documentation and one has to know, beforehand, that they accept options for optional passthru with USB bridges. It would be very nice to have this documented (I keep forgetting the syntax and users new to the tools may not even know the possibility of them being available).
