It would be good to see it. Looking through the ubuntu bugs, they all seem to refer to version 1.8.8.o-3. I'm not sure what this bug is about, but it does not seem to show up in Debian and the version that is affected is not in Debian -- I guess an upload to Debian cannot fix it. However, that does not necessarily mean that the source of this bug is still in the packaging, hence I'll leave this bug open in case more information is available.
