The main problem with that is that if google doesn't do the same thing depending on the client argument, there may be a reason, one related to the binding between MoCo and Google related to this service. I'll try to get in touch with the proper people to have a real answer to that. That also concerns a lot of other stuff where we already change iceweasel to firefox, actually.
