\frenchbsetup{StandardItemLabels=true} in the preamble if you want only to
prevent frenchb from changing the labels. \frenchbsetup{StandardLists=true} if
you want to prevent frenchb from changing anything to the lists layout. See
section 29.2 in babel.pdf for more options.

Actually, no. This is unrelated. Moreover, it should be harmless, though quite
probably useless.
This discussion may deserve to be continued on a LyX-specific channel (I don't
know LyX a lot, but maybe it could provide an interface to those babel/frenchb
features -- I'd be glad to help LyX maintainers about it if help is required).
