Package: libbz2-dev Version: 1.0.5-3 Severity: normal
On both Debian and Ubuntu, /usr/lib/libbz2.so currently links to /lib/libbz2.so.1.0. As a result, any program that links against -lbz2 on a Debian machine needs libbz2.so.1.0. This makes it hard to build a binary that works on RPM distributions, which do not provide libbz2.so.1.0. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libbz2-dev depends on: ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.5-3 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6-dev [libc-dev] 2.10.2-2 GNU C Library: Development Librari libbz2-dev recommends no packages. libbz2-dev suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
