Package: python-clientform
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.5

Hello,

One of my packages [1] depends on python-clientform; Debcheck states
that it is optional and has a Depends on python-clientform which is
extra [2].

python-clientform's "extra" priority was justifiable as it conflicted
with packages python2.3-clientform (<< 0.2.2) and python2.4-clientform
(<< 0.2.2).

>From the Policy [3]:
/
| extra
| This contains all packages that conflict with others with
| required, important, standard or optional priorities, or are only
| likely to be useful if you already know what they are or have
| specialized requirements (such as packages containing only detached
| debugging symbols).
\

As those two packages are not available in Debian anymore, and unless
there is another reason (I did not see) justifying the "extra"
priority, I would suggest removing the Conflicts and Replaces lines
from the debian/control file, and changing the package's priority to
"optional" in order to comply with the Policy.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind regards,
 Ignace Mouzannar
