I read bug 503427 so I know you're between a rock and a hard place, but it seems that bug 503427 was noting that no dependencies on dbus-x11 existed of any type. A Recommends dependency on dbus-x11 would seem to satisfy the original bug and this bug. APT itself defaults to installing Recommends by default now and so most users would get dbus and then everything would just work for them.
Those who have disabled automatic installing of recommends would have to manually install dbus (if they don't already have it), but the error message in that case is fairly clear. It just seems to me that the change in APT to autoinstall Recommends should be encouraging more uses of Recommends instead of Depends for cases like this one. I would request that both dbus and dbus-x11 be changed to Recommends. -- Jon "lib64 is a wart on history and should never have been there." -Tollef Fog Heen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
