Their mirrors have been updated so that only recent versions can update their database. I unfortunately have no solution to propose to fix this issue. If you want, I can build a backported package of the 1.3.6 version for etch, though it might not be your wish to install a very recent package (hence not widely tested) on a machine which seems stable.
