the issue with flashplugin-nonfree on my i386 box is resolved. For
some reason, I was missing a link, and

r...@i386box:/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins#
ln -s ../../flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so .

did the trick. I thought it could be the case since on my amd64 I
did a 'update-flashplugin-nonfree --install' right away, whereas on
the i386 box I tried 'update-flashplugin-nonfree --uninstall ;
update-flashplugin-nonfree --install'. After creating the missing
link manually, I issued the uninstall again, but the link was not
removed (as I guessed it would), installing thereafter just went
fine and the new plugin works seamlessly in Iceweasel (Konqueror
found the plugin without the missing link so it was working there
right after the upgrade).

Greetings,

        Christian

PS.: Sorry, my latest mails didn't go to the list. Catching up.
