Package: smartmontools
Version: 5.38-2+lenny1
Severity: normal

If drive is removed from system by setting content of file
/sys/block/sdX/device/delete to '1' and safety unplugged, smartmontools reports
it as 'error':
Device: /dev/sdX, unable to open device

I think, smartd must process normal hotplug events without error notification.
