Yes, there is libkpathsea5 now, that is probably the diff. libkpathsea is now thread safe and some more changes, so the .SO bump. Do you need any other information? Good that this pops up now, I guess I should ask that on d-d or here, namely what we have to do wrt the .so bump ... Anyone having experience with that, I never had one in the whole TeX cycle I am here (there was always libkpathsea.so.4 AFAIR).
