I’ve now installed Debian unstable and just tested Epiphany. The version of Epiphany used in unstable is 2.29.3 and not 2.28. The described problem does not appear with Epiphany 2.29.3 but however there is a new bug: the URL as well as the title of the site, the page number and the date were not printed.
