Uh, that's a very bad idea! managesieve is using port 2000 for long time now. To change it in service file ends in clients not able anymore to connect to the sieve server! Think about, this port is not even only used on debian installations than also on other like redhat[0] where the server might runs. That change make debian incompatible to all managesieve installations out there! However, I also see no real conflict with two services allocationg the same port as long as they do not have to run on the same host. There are many ports > 1024 which have more than one meaning. And even some lower ports have more than one. So please revoke that change as soon as possible! MfG Klaus Ethgen [0] "grep sieve /etc/service" on redhat EL 5: 2000/tcp and 2000/udp. Grep for port 2000 gives sieve, only in the /etc/services! -- Klaus Ethgen http://www.ethgen.de/ pub 2048R/D1A4EDE5 2000-02-26 Klaus Ethgen <kl...@ethgen.de> Fingerprint: D7 67 71 C4 99 A6 D4 FE EA 40 30 57 3C 88 26 2B -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
