The same entries appear every few minutes as squid exits and restarts. It does serve requests while running between restarts. Reverting to version 2.4.6-2woody8 makes the problem go away. The crashing and restarting problem started soon after the security upgrade DSA-751-1 http://www.debian.org/security/2005/dsa-751 resulted in the release of 2.4.6-2woody9.
