Upon starting emacs23, I get the following output: (emacs:2830): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times after which emacs appears to function normally. This can be reproduced even with xrdb -load /dev/null emacs -q --no-site-file In case it's relevant, I'm not running in a gnome environment. I log in with gdm but use my own .xsession file that just starts openbox, a pile of xterms, and emacs. If this isn't reproducible under a gnome environment, try doing a safe-mode login from gdm, kicking off some window manager (twm, for example), and starting emacs. You should see this warning message.
