Yes. The scripts in /etc/wicd/scripts/*/ are meant as "global" scripts. Unfortunately, that's not documented (see #557184). I'm not closing this bug, nor merging it, because I'd like to hijack it a bit. In particular, wicd upstream said that "somewhen" they'll add support for passing parameters to scripts. This way, your scripts could check what kind of connection it's being passed (and other data -- essid, bssid, [..]), and act accordingly. Do you agree on retitling this bug? Kindly, David -- . ''`.
