Package: libsmi2-common
Version: 0.4.8+dfsg2-1
Severity: important

Hi Vincent (and others),

I just wanted to let you know, that at the moment, the parallel
installation of "ifstat" and "wireshark"/"tshark" is broken:

===============================================================

r...@seb02:~> aptitude install ifstat
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reading extended state information
Initializing package states... Done
Reading task descriptions... Done
The following packages are BROKEN:
  wireshark-common
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  ifstat libsnmp-base{a} libsnmp15{a}
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  libsmi2-common{a}
0 packages upgraded, 3 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not
upgraded.
Need to get 0B/3,307kB of archives. After unpacking 10.9MB will be
freed.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  wireshark-common: Depends: libsmi2-common but it is not installable
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

Both machines run Debian testing/Squeeze. On the first machine
(seb02), wireshark is installed and ifstat was attempted to
install. On the second machine (burns), the situation is vice versa.

Using the version libsmi2-common (version 0.4.8+dfsg-2) from experimental
fixes this.

Regards,

Adrian
