Good, did you take a look at the upstream change (I didn't)? Does it use "exiftran -p -2 -i" and "exiftran -p -9 -i" to losslessly rotate JPEG images? If this is the case, could you please pull that patch and apply it to the Debian package? I hope we can solve this issue soon.
