I'm still not convinced: if someone is searching information about openide-util, an out-of-date link is better than nothing (as long as it is clear that information is out-of-date; and it is). Anyway, it doesn't really matter for me, so I'll just follow your suggestion. The source link can be found in debian/README.source (which will be extended in next release).
