hmmm... try to take a look around, I already heard about many different buttons. Also try to read (if you haven't already) the docs in /usr/share/doc/xfree86-driver-synaptics/ maybe the solution is already there :) > Should I fill a new bugreport? I don't really know if it's a problem with the synaptics driver o X, I'll try to investigate. You could try to look at the output of synclient to undestand how the driver feels your buttons: # synclient -m 100 time x y z f w l r u d m multi gl gm gr gdx gdy 0.000 1651 3532 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 00000000 0 0 0 0 0 v v v v v | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--> Middle | | | +--> Down | | +--> Up | +--> Right +--> Left There's a FAQ in the docs that suggests how to reorder buttons for the touchpad. The whole stuff is currently documented in the already mentioned directory. Adding that section by default needs some more integration with the xserver packages. Also, If the kernel isn't correctly configured the presence of the synaptics configuration stuff might prevent X from starting and that's not nice at all... (detecting the touchpad in 2.4 kernels is not trivial and reliable also) -- mattia :wq! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
